Creating a Stepping Stone to Homeownership.


Many people rent while they save up for their new home while home prices continue to rise. But with Trio, you can live in the home you want to own while saving for a down payment or improving your financial situation. With Trio’s 3-year leases, you have the time you need to get qualified while Trio locks in your purchase price and provides an assumable mortgage at today’s interest rates helping you protect the affordability of your home.  When you are ready to purchase, you can work with Trio's preferred lenders to take advantage of Trio's Home Purchase Asssistance.


To help with our customer’s success, we partnered with MMI to provide ongoing counseling for the first 24-months of your lease.  You will be in contact with MMI’s HUD approved housing counselors to answer your questions, periodically check in, and practice smart homeownership habits.  This service is provided complimentary and is included in Trio’s Success Program.

Program Services


By working with MMI, Trio connects its clients to housing counselors that provide ongoing support in the path towards homeownership. Every month expect helpful communications from MMI with tips and reminders.  Every few months, a counselor will reach out to you to touch base & see how you are progressing on the road towards homeownership. Both Trio and MMI believe that everyone in America should have access to affordable housing, and our mission is to make that happen by providing qualifying families the opportunity to get started early.

Trio’s lease to own program puts qualified applicants into a house while also providing the support framework to reach permanent homeownership. MMI works with Trio customers to educate them on the keys to successful homeownership including establishing a budget, discussing credit & debt, and building a plan to become financially secure.  Ultimately, the combined goal of this Customer Success Program is to transition Trio customers into homeowners.
